Jill Waggoner is a name that is familiar to those who were fans of the Dallas Cowboys in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She's remembered as one of the internationally renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Dr. Waggoner, a board certified family medicine physician, has practiced in the Dallas area since 1993. She holds a certification from the Cooper Institute in Preventive Medicine, sub specializes in Integrative medicine and is on the board of directors for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Clinic, Inc. In addition, she now adds to her list of accomplishments Medical Director for South Texas Medical Center. South Texas Medical Center brings a new philosophy of medicine to this longstanding community, that of Integrative Medicine. The clinic's vision is to provide kind, compassionate healthcare by combining the art of ancient health with the technology of modern medicine. The main philosophical base embodies engagement of the mind, body and spirit in a healing cooperative.

| Waggoner serves as the Medical Director for the Clinic. "I wanted to come back to this community because I am rooted here," says Dr. Waggoner. "I am a product of this community. It is alarming to me that African Americans and Hispanics have a higher morbidity and mortality for many of the chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension. A large part of the problem is our inaccessibility to quality healthcare. Our goal at South Texas Medical is to be a part of the solution to that problem" South Texas Medical Center specializes in medicine for the entire family, urgent care, school physicals and immunizations, DOT physicals, cosmetology physicals and weight management, all done from an integrative perspective.
