| Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Before The Dream Came True The early years of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders featured squads that consisted of both females and males. The coed squads were known as the Belles and Beaux. The all-female squads of the first decade (before the dream came true) consisted of high school girls. The world-famous uniform that the DCC now wear was introduced with the 1972 squad - thus most people consider that squad to be the "original" Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
